About the founder
Gavi Corner is a one-person operation. Sam writes, designs, codes, and edits everything on this site — from news translations to match graphics. The original Instagram page, @gavihugefan, was built from a bedroom in 2024 and grew to 30k followers before Meta suspended it. @gavicorner is the new Instagram home — a few posts are live, but day-to-day coverage will start when this website is finished and we go public.
Editorial decisions are independent. No club, agency, or sponsor has any say in what gets covered or how. The full editorial position is on the Code of Ethics page.

Story angles we can help with
- How a single-fan Instagram page (30k followers) became a full bilingual newsroom.
- Translating Spanish football news to English fans — what gets distorted in the process.
- Tracking Gavi's two-injury recovery (ACL 2023 → meniscus 2025) from public statements.
- What "fan journalism" looks like when it's structured, sourced, and labeled.
- Building a Spanish-football reader community without ads or paywalls.
