On 29 August 2021, Gavi made his official debut for FC Barcelona at just 17 years old in a match against Getafe at Camp Nou. From the moment he stepped on the pitch, his confidence, pressing, and ball control revealed a player far beyond his age. His debut marked the beginning of a new Barça era - one where a young La Masia talent would soon become the heart and future of the club's midfield.
Gavi scored his first-ever goal for FC Barcelona on 18 December 2021 against Elche at Camp Nou. At only 17 years old, he received the ball near midfield, drove forward with stunning confidence, beat his defender with a brilliant turn, and fired a perfect shot into the bottom corner. This moment wasn't just a goal - it was the announcement of a rising superstar. Camp Nou erupted as the young La Masia product became one of the youngest goalscorers in Barcelona's history.
Gavi played in the UEFA Nations League Final against Croatia, showing maturity, pressing intensity, and ball-winning ability throughout the match.
Spain won the final on penalties, and Gavi earned his first major trophy with the national team at just 18 years old.
In one of his greatest performances, Gavi scored, assisted Lewandowski, and was named Man of the Match as Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 3–1. This final confirmed Gavi as one of the brightest young talents in world football.
Gavi reached the Supercopa final once again, continuing his reputation as a big-match player and leader in Barcelona’s midfield. Even without scoring, his workrate, pressing, and leadership were standout qualities in the final.

Barcelona beat Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup final in Saudi Arabia — Gavi’s fifth major final and another Clásico trophy on the shelf. After months out with injury, he was back in the squad for the run-in, and this win capped a special 2025/26 season alongside La Liga silverware.
